This week's episode of Faces of Postpartum—The Podcast, is the first part of an interview I conducted with Amy Ard, the executive director of Motherhood Beyond Bars.
Motherhood Beyond Bars provides support for infants born to incarcerated women and works (hard) to reunify families.
This was the first time Amy and I chatted. We talked about her own births, postpartum periods, and past work as a doula, and how it shaped her vision of advocacy and activism.
